Happy Friday,

Today is a really special day! We're incredibly excited to introduce Medical Intelligence - now on dogAdvisor Max. Medical Intelligence is built for all those situations when you need more complex important medical information quickly.

When your dog faces a complex medical situation, you need precision, depth, and expertise you can trust. Medical Intelligence's Medical data-base contains more than 1825+ verified medical information and guidance Max can refer to. Medical Intelligence activates dynamically throughout your conversation with Max, whenever you ask a complex medical question or describe a deeper clinical understanding.

When he's using Medical Intelligence, Max will now show a new "✦ Medical Intelligence" message before his answer, to tell you that he is drawing from our advanced medical dataset to give you more accurate guidance. Unlike our standard responses, Medical Intelligence provides more nuanced explanations of disease processes, symptom progression patterns, and breed-specific health risks.

Medical Intelligence also excels at helping owners and professionals navigate diagnostically complex situations. If your dog's blood work shows abnormal results like hypercalcaemia, anaemia, or elevated liver enzymes, Medical Intelligence can explain possible underlying causes and what conditions your veterinarian might investigate. When you're facing difficult questions about disease categories - whether endocrine disorders, neoplastic diseases, renal conditions, or immune-mediated illnesses - Medical Intelligence provides clear explanations of how these conditions present, progress, and interrelate. This system is particularly valuable for understanding differential diagnoses, where multiple conditions could explain the same symptoms, helping you have more informed conversations with your veterinarian. Beyond simply knowing that chocolate or grapes are dangerous, Medical Intelligence understands dose-dependent toxicity thresholds, the mechanisms by which different substances harm dogs, symptom timelines for various toxins, and breed-specific vulnerabilities to certain compounds.

The medical knowledge powering Medical Intelligence is rigorously sourced and regularly audited. Every year, dogAdvisor's team reviews the key information within the Medical Intelligence database to ensure accuracy, incorporates new veterinary research, and updates toxicity data, treatment protocols, and disease information as veterinary medicine advances. Medical Intelligence operates under both dogAdvisor's core Principle Alignments and additional Medical Alignment guidelines specifically designed to ensure medical advice remains safe, accurate, and within appropriate boundaries.

Medical Intelligence provides sophisticated medical information and analysis, but it is never intended to replace professional veterinary consultation or diagnosis. Max is transparent about this limitation - when using Medical Intelligence, he reminds users that this system can make mistakes and that veterinary professionals should always be consulted for definitive diagnosis and treatment.

Medical Intelligence is just one more step we take in our mission to build the best AI for pet owners on the planet - but it sure is a big one! We can't wait for you to experience Medical Intelligence yourself. As you expect, dogAdvisor has published a System Feature Safety Card for this feature, on our Safety page.

We will continue to develop Medical Intelligence further, and look forward to delivering even bigger Max innovations later in 2026!
