About
dogAdvisor is an AI research organisation building safe, helpful, and reliable models to make owning a dog just as easy as loving one

About
dogAdvisor is an AI research organisation working to deliver the world's safest and most helpful intelligence to millions of dog owners
We research to build models that make owning a dog as easy as loving one.
Today, we help 16000 owners every week, and saved the lives of 4 dogs.

1 in 3 households around the world have a dog
dogAdvisor started as an idea sketched on a napkin, asking a simple question: "how do we make dog ownership genuinely easy?", because we all know it isn't. We started as a blog, but as owners increasingly trusted Max with more memories, we became an AI research organisation

1 in 3 answers by AI in dog health are wrong
General AI models make massive mistakes for dog owners from telling them to wait and see when they shouldn't, to failing to recognise critical nuance that changes a dog's entire health picture. We want to be the first to prove that AI for dog owners can be genuinely safe and remarkably helpful
Max saved 4 lives
Max gave the owners of four dogs a birthday they never thought their dog would celebrate by helping in emergencies
We help 16,000 owners every week
Today, dogAdvisor Max helps about 16000 dog owners every week who turn to him for answers throughout puppyhood, training, behaviour, illness, general health, old age, and even bringing home their second dog

We're famous for all the right reasons, but don't just take our word for it...
Max, who is the worldโs first specialised dog-saving AI assistant, has already revolutionised safety in AI.
dogAdvisor released an AI chatbot named Max, helping more than 1600 dog owners weekly
*Usage since grown to 16000
dogAdvisor's goal: make sure no pet owner feels helpless in a moment of crisis. It didn't just grow - it exploded.
dogAdvisor's AI model Max lets owners ask questions and get safe answers
dogAdvisor's CEO has been recognised as one of the world's most important young AI founders

Deni Darenberg started dogAdvisor on a napkin. Since then he's been named among the world's top young founders by Investopedia, featured by Forbes, Microsoft News, and NewsNation, scouted for BBC's Dragons Den, and recognised directly by Anthropic as one of the founders shaping the next generation of AI.

We build smart and safe intelligence, and hold ourselves accountable

We're transparent
With every model we release we publish clear system cards to explain Max's strengths, limitations, and improvements so you can see for yourself how we improve. Our releases are also associated with their own Newsroom article designed to be accessible to those with more limited technical knowledge.

We're safety first, not eventually
If you've tried him yet, Max just feels a little bit different compared to other models you're used to. Welcome to the feeling of (genuine) safety! Every capability on Max is designed with its own guardrails and failsafes, and we continuously improve our classifiers to detect and prevent the distribution of unsafe content. From day one.
We're bold and direct
We hold users who violate our usage policies accountable for their conduct, and we're direct about Max's purpose and limitations (especially over highly complex medical educational advice). We're clear that Max is only to be used alongside your vet (so we built in chat and Health exports) and never actioned on without a vet's approval.
