About dogAdvisor
We are a research organisation dedicated to maximising the benefits of AI safely, building our own models, evaluations, and architectures to make safe and reliable models for dog owners. Our research began in London in 2024, when the idea for dogAdvisor was written on a napkin, because dog ownership has never been more common, and neither has the need to create helpful and responsible tools to support owners on their journey.
2 years ago, the idea for dogAdvisor began on a napkin, with a simple question at its centre: how do we make dog ownership easy?
Back then and still to this day, not a single major model is built or evaluated for its responses for dog health, breed risk, or emergency. Most models are trained to be helpful across everything, so they're tested rigorously for almost nothing.
We didn't think that was good enough, so we built the world's first AI model specifically for dog ownership, creating our own evaluation frameworks (when there was no way to assess AI models for dog ownership), crafted our own safety frameworks, and developed our own research standards from the ground up. Today, we lead the world in pet AI deployment and continue to be guided by the same question we first asked: how do we make owning your dog even easier?

Every week, up to 16000 people come Max with a question about the dog they love, a strange symptom, an odd behaviour, or a decision that felt too important to guess. Yet in all of those questions four stood out, when owners asked Max what to do in an emergency. From choking on a grape to eating chocolate, Max notified the owners of emergencies they didn't know their dog was experiencing, guided them through emergency responses, and gave 4 a birthday their owner never thought they'd have. To this day we're deeply humbled by these moments, and continue to carry them forward as we build innovations that genuinely save lives.
And we saved the lives of 4 dogs in emergencies.

Since 2024, we've been building our own knowledge, own safety architectures, design our own benchmarks (for when no such exist), and deploy our research with responsibility to help owners better care for their dog.

We exist to fix that.
