Max is built for every level of vision. High contrast display modes reduce strain for users with low vision or light sensitivity, all colour choices meet WCAG AA contrast ratios as a minimum, and colour is never used as the sole means of conveying information. Text scales responsively across every device without breaking the layout, and every image and interface element carries descriptive alternative text so screen readers can navigate Max without missing anything.

If your device has reduced motion enabled, Max respects it, with animation disabled automatically without any manual configuration. There is no flashing content, no auto-playing media, and no rapid transitions anywhere in the interface. The London Night theme reduces overall screen brightness for use in low-light environments, and conversation layouts are designed for sustained reading sessions, with line height and font spacing tuned specifically to reduce fatigue over time.

Max ships with three font options precisely because reading is not the same experience for everyone. The Accessible font is designed specifically for dyslexic readers, reducing the visual similarity between letters that causes common reading errors. Max's responses are written to be clear and direct medical terminology is explained when it appears, jargon is avoided, and sentence structure is kept consistent. Every setting is saved per device so preferences never have to be reapplied.
