dogAdvisor's Press & Media Desk is responsible for collating, storing, and managing all of dogAdvisor's public appearances. We verify content published by the press, take action to protect dogAdvisor's reputation, and support our friends in the media in whatever way we can. We're bound under dogAdvisor's Freedom of Press statement, and we're deeply committed to supporting the work of journalists in promoting and holding us to account.
Freedom of Press Statement
We believe that a free and independent press is essential to accountability, transparency, and a healthy environment for innovative companies. We welcome scrutiny and are committed to providing accurate and verifiable information about our products, services, and operations. Our mission to protect pets and support dog owners guides every communication, and we approach media interactions with professionalism, openness, and respect for journalistic standards.
We therefore have certain obligations to the press and to the public:
■ We have a duty to provide accurate, verifiable information about dogAdvisor's products, services, and operations
■ Respond to press inquiries promptly & in good faith
■ Safeguard our confidential information, trade secrets, proprietary technology, and operational details critical to the safety, reliability, and security of our innovation
■ Never to interfere with editorial independence
We also ask certain things of you:
■ Report clearly, responsibly, accurately, and in good faith
■ Make clear distinctions between statements awaiting a response and formal "no comment"
■ When dogAdvisor provides a comment after publication, update written or video content to include our statement, either as an amendment, pinned comment, or follow-up segment
Our right to decline or provide conditional comment:
dogAdvisor reserves the right to decline any media requests. A lack of an immediate response is not a "no comment" but a statement pending review. We expect editorial content to make this distinction clear. If we provide a comment later, coverage should reflect this updated information in a clear and visible manner. This is not intended to interfere with editorial independence in any manner, but to ensure that coverage remains accurate, fair, and relative of the facts as they develop.
We frequently receive requests for interviews and commentary. We take every request seriously and screen them carefully to ensure our participation is constructive, responsible, and aligned with our mission. We do not accept every request, and in some cases we may decline participation if we believe it would not strengthen our brand, risks confusing our audience, or diminishes the seriousness of our work.
