Updates on Max Generation 4's Release
1st January 2026 — dogAdvisor Intelligence — London

NEW UPDATE
Good Morning,
We've got some exciting news to share!
This morning, dogAdvisor successfully completed our safety work for Max Generation 4 an incredible 22 days ahead of schedule!
Over the past eight days, our team has been working around the clock to rebuild Max's Foundational Safety Framework and Principle Alignment from the ground up! Thanks to a strong validation system, redesigned safety approach, and gallons of tea, we managed to complete a month's work in just over a week without compromising on quality or safety!
As a result, we're thrilled to share we're moving forward earlier than planned.
We now expect to finalise additional safety and reporting by January 20th, and we expect to formally launch Max before the end of January.
We're incredibly grateful for you patience and support with us as we take this next step towards safer and more reliable AI for pets. Over the next few days we'll continue conducting final testing both internally and with members of our Board of Advisors to ensure every level of Max's system meets our highest safety standards.
To follow our progress, get a behind-the-scenes look, and watch the official launch vide for Max Generation 4, follow our founder Deni Darenberg on LinkedIn!
Onwards and upwards...

From 1st January 2026:
Happy New Year!
2025 has been an extraordinary year for dogAdvisor, marked by record growth, industry recognition, and continued trust from dog owners around the world. We would like to begin by wishing you a wonderful year ahead. We are confident it will be our strongest yet.
Today, dogAdvisor is announcing a revised release timeline for Max Generation 4. Max Generation 4 represents the most advanced, safety-focused pet care AI we have ever built, and we are incredibly excited to deliver it. We believe it will be our biggest ever step forward in AI safety and intelligence and we remain committed to delivering the best and safest possible technology for dogs and their owners.
We needed more time to reach our high quality and safety standards, so we are today announcing we are pushing back the release of Max Generation 4. We expect to complete Safety work on Max before the 31st January, before submitting additional safety and performance testing by February 7th. We expect to deliver Max Generation 4 to owners before the 20th February 2026, on National Love Your Pet Day!
This decision follows the identification of unexpected behaviour during advanced red-teaming exercises conducted with external experts. While these findings are not safety-critical and do not result in incorrect or harmful advice, we observed that certain responses deviated from Max’s established Principle Alignments and boundary framework. At dogAdvisor, we believe alignment, accountability, and predictability are non-negotiable. We will do anything and everything in our power to ensure our models stay true to their purpose and value.
Our engineering teams are actively addressing this issue, alongside expanded red-teaming and safety evaluations scheduled throughout January and February. As part of this process, we will be making significant updates to the Max Generation 4 Model Card, which will be published shortly. We also intend to release a public paper outlining our red-teaming methodology and findings, in line with our commitment to transparency and responsible AI development.
We can't wait to bring the safest and smartest Max to you as soon as he's ready! Please watch this Pupdate for further updates. Thank you so much and happy 2026!
